quiteは肯定文では「とても、かなり、完全に、すべて」の意味だが、否定文の中で使うと「もう一つ〜ない、はっきりとは〜ない、必ずしも〜ない、完全には〜でない」 等の部分否定の意味になる。quiteは副詞ですが、名詞を修飾することもある。
